The Land of Stories Wishing Spell
by Chris Colfer
This book was a good spin on
fairy tales. I liked how all the fairy
tale characters come to life. But,
the author still had all the chore
parts of the fairy tales.

The One and Only Ivan talks about
a circus that is in a mall, that shows
the animals held in captivity and a
rescue sanctuary saves them. Oh,
and Ivan the silverback gorilla can
understand TV and can paint. -Angelina

The One and Only Ivan is a book that
has a great ending but at the beginning
it is really boring and it seems like the
whole book is the same but it gets interesting
and has a twist ending. -Addy

I think this book was very informing. The reason I
gave this 4 stars is because it can be sad. This book describes things in a way that makes you think you're there.

I give this book 5 stars because it talks
about history in a fun and sad way. But, what I really love about this book is how emotional it can get and learning all of the characters' feelings and also how much work was put into making this book. -Maddy Sanders |
The reason I wouldn’t recommend this book to my friends is because the author wrote it in such a detailed way that it takes a chapter or two to explain one thing. The story line is all over the place. One chapter is about a completely different subject than the last one, but it is a bluebonnet book. So, if you want to be on the Battle of the Books team you should probably read it.
